Direct Computer Control MPCA200 Measuring Machine from ETAMIC/MOVOMATIC.
The
MPCA200 machine has the capability, of measuring diameters, distance
and geometric characteristics such as form, profile, orientation,
location and runout in virtual space at high feed rates.
The MPCA200 is a production flexible, CNC controlled measuring
machine. Metrology laboratory environment, air conditioning and
special foundations are not required.
The MPCA200 machine uses the most technically advanced mechanical,
CNC controls and measuring components. Loading of the parts to
be measured can be done either manually or automatically.
MEASUREMENT
PRINCIPLE :
Measurement
data is obtained through a sum collection of a high resolution
rotary encoder, amplified digital scales and a proprietary Etamic
X - Y analogue touch probe developed specifically for the MPCA200.
The Etamic analogue touch probe allows for a <0.15µm
repeatability error and 0.3 µm linear error when scanning
diameters for runout. The data is processed through an error mapping
array to display accurate and repeatable results.
MOTION
CONTROLS :
Machine motion is managed with the use of an industrial CNC package
widely used in the machine tool industry and includes a fast response
4 -Axis PC card. This CNC package runs seamlessly in the background
because of the supreme Human- Machine Interface (HMI) developed
for this machine.
INTERFACE
CONFIGURATION :
The Human- Machine Interface (HMI) is managed by the ETAMIC Industrial
PC Controller with 32-bit software a Windows®
operating system and PC-DMIS 3-D inspection software.
The
PC-DMIS comprehensive software features an easy-to -use
operator interface that guides you through part programming, setup
and inspection routine execution.
Plus, with its integrated graphics function, you can create reports
that put a fresh perspective on dimensional data. The optional
PC-DMIS CAD software lets you use the power of 3-D data
to create part programs; both on and off-line, complete with graphical
part models and probe path simulations. Using the powerful PC-DMIS
CAD graphical environment, you can create simulations to find
and correct program errors before they are downloaded to the shop
floor.
DISPLAY :
A large choice of standard or custom made bargraph, digital and
graphics displays make the interpretation of the results obvious
and provide full assurance that the measurements results comply
with ASME Y 14.5M specifications.
CALIBRATION :
All the MPCA200 probes
and encoders zeroing is performed automatically by the machine
on a single calibration device mounted on the part rotation driver.
Except when very accurate measurements have to be performed no
other special part like master is required.
ERGONOMY
:
In case of manual load, unload, the operator
has full view and easy access to the gaging station. The control
panel and the monitor can be moved to many positions.
