The MPCA680 machine is specialized toward the measurement of "round" parts such as crankshaft, camshafts and
transmission shafts

The MPCA machine has the capability, of measuring diameters, distance and geometric characteristics such as form, profile, orientation, location and runout.

PRINCIPLE :

  • Radius and diameter data collection is performed by two high accuracy incremental length probes (travel
    120 mm).
  • Axial data collection is performed by combining one CC3 Etamic touch probe and high resolution linear encoder.
  • Angular measurement collections are performed by combining the above CC3 touch probe and a high resolution rotary encoder.

MOTION CONTROLS :
The machine servomotors are controlled by an industrial CNC package widely used in the machine tool industry.
Technicians and operators are already familiar with CNC controlled machines can program the MPAC machine with very little training.

CONSTITUTION :
Like all the Etamic gaging products, the MPCA machine is designed to be used in a manufacturing environment.
The MPCA is a production flexible CNC controlled measuring machine. Metrology laboratory environment, air conditioning and special foundations are not required.

CONFIGURATION :
The measurement software of the MPCA machine is an upgrade of the powerful ETAMIC CMZ03 software Interactive screens using the ASME Y 14.5M dimensioning and tolerancing specifications and sybols for mechanical engineering, and a library of generic mathematical formulas make the system easy to configure and user friendly.

DISPLAY :
A large choice of standard or custom made bargraph, digital and graphics displays make the interpretation of the results obvious and provide full assurance that the measurements results comply with ASME Y 14.5M specifications.

CALIBRATION :
All the MPCA probes and encoders zeroing is performed automatically by the machine on a single calibration device mounted on the part rotation driver.
Except when very accurate measurements have to be performed no other special part like master is required.

ERGONOMY :
In case of manual load, unload, the operator has full view and easy access to the gaging station. Part support vees and centers are easily and quickly adjustable. The control panel and the monitor can be moved to any position and angle.
